Since I was a young child, my parents have instilled in me the importance of remaining humble and working hard for all that I want to achieve. I have always had a passion for working out and bettering myself as an athlete. I started playing competitive sports in elementary. All the way up until high school, I made time for training in addition to my regularly scheduled practices to work on enhancing my skills. Thanks to the support and motivation from my family along with the time and effort I devoted to training, I earned the opportunity to play football at a collegiate level.

I was first introduced to CrossFit during my time playing football in college. One day, I was extremely exhausted from completing two-a-day workouts, so I turned on my television to relax and stumbled upon really fit individuals working out and performing a variety of exercises on ESPN. They performed a little bit of everything ranging from lifting, swimming, and other movements that I could not quite understand at the time. My initial reaction was, “man these people are crazy.” Though, the competitiveness inside of me encouraged me to try it out. At first I thought CrossFit only served as a competition. As I read and learned more about it, I gained a better understanding of what CrossFit really entails. I fell in love with the methodology not only as competitor, but as an exercise science major. CrossFit is not solely about competition, but rather moving efficiently, effectively, and bringing people together from all walks of life to get fitter and stronger using functional exercises. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that believe otherwise and think Crossfit is all about competitions and the need to be in-shape in order to participate in a CrossFit class. However, I wish that people would not have that misconception and just give it a try.

I have coached individuals with little to no athletic backgrounds and I have seen them improve over weeks and months at a time. Having the pleasure to see them grow and improve not just physically, but mentally brings me a joy and fulfillment like no other. I feel so blessed to finally have the opportunity to introduce CrossFit to my amazing hometown of Los Fresnos, Texas. My goal is to provide a positive atmosphere where individuals can commit to achieving their goals through their attention to details, preparedness, patience, and faith.
